Buying
Making an offer on a listing
You can make an offer in the conversation, up to 40% below the asking price. The seller can accept, decline or counter.
Open the listing, start a conversation with the seller and click Make an offer.
The rules
- Your offer can go up to 40% below the asking price.
- You can make at most 25 offers per day.
- An offer expires automatically 48 hours after the (counter-)offer or after acceptance.
- The seller can counter as often as they like.
After acceptance
An accepted offer does not reserve the item: whoever pays first gets it. So check out straight away — the checkout automatically uses the offer price, you do not have to enter anything.
The reduced price is only visible in your conversation, not to other buyers.
Tips
Make a realistic offer and briefly explain why. An offer at half price with no explanation is rarely accepted. Feel free to ask for extra photos or details first — that costs nothing and avoids disappointment.
