Selling

Setting the right price

Look at what comparable listings ask and factor in condition. We show a suggested price based on real market data.

Our suggested price

When posting you get a suggested price. It comes, in order, from:

  1. the median of comparable active listings (same category, brand and condition);
  2. otherwise a percentage of the original price, depending on condition;
  3. otherwise an estimate.

You always see what the advice is based on. It is advice, not an obligation.

Rules of thumb

  • New with tags: 60–80% of the original price.
  • New without tags: 55–75%.
  • Like new: 40–60%.
  • Good: 20–40%.
  • Fair: 15–30%.

Selling faster

A price just under a round number (€24 instead of €25) stands out more. If something has not sold after two weeks, drop it by 10–15%: people who saved it are automatically notified of the price drop.
